The Tsunami 10 years on
In December 2014, many people with links to the 2004 tsunami tragedy returned to join the commemoration ceremonies in Bang Niang (the next village to Khao Lak and the place where most foreigners died) and Ban Nam Khem (where most Thai and Burmese people died). They included several hundred of the 6,000 foreign volunteers who built homes, boats and furniture for survivors.
John Keeble travelled to the region and posted 'live' coverage here:
5 December: The King and the People
11 December: Eternally Changing
13 December: Between the Lines
17 December: Thailand's Toll Roads
24 December: The Wave
25 December: Quiet Before the Tsunami Anniversary
25 December: Waves of Sadness
